Support that fits into everyday life

At Early Intervention Collective, support is individualised to your child and family.

Every child has their own strengths, interests, challenges and way of experiencing the world. Sessions are designed around what is meaningful for your child and can take place at home, preschool or school, or within the community.

The focus isn't simply on what happens during our time together - it's about building skills, confidence and strategies that can carry over into everyday life.

Individual Early Intervention

One-to-one early intervention sessions tailored to your child's individual goals, strengths and interests.

Through play, everyday activities and meaningful experiences, we can work towards goals such as:

- Developing play and social skills

- building confidence and independence

- supporting emotional regulation

- participating in everyday routines

- developing communication and interaction skills

- navigating transitions and change

- building school and preschool readiness

- increasing participation at home, preschool, school and in the community

Sessions are flexible and designed to meet your child where they are.

Preschool & School Support

Sometimes the best place to understand what a child needs is within the environment where they're experiencing the challenge.

Support can take place within your child's preschool, childcare or school environment, where appropriate and with permission from the service or school.

This may include:

- supporting participation in routines and activities

- building confidence in the classroom or playground

- supporting transitions

- developing social and play skills

- helping implement visual supports and strategies

- working alongside educators and teachers

- observing your child within their everyday environment

- supporting strategies to be used consistently across home and education settings

The goal is to work collaboratively with the adults already supporting your child.

Parent & Family Support

Early Intervention isn't only about working directly with a child.

Parents and carers know their child better than anyone, which is why supporting the family is an important part of the process.

We can work together to understand what's happening, identify your priorities and develop practical strategies that fit into your family's everyday routines.

This could include support around transitions, routines, play, regulation, independence, communication, participation or preparing for changes such as starting preschool or school.

There is no perfect families and no perfect routines. The goal is to find what works for your family.

Community- Based Support

Skills don't only develop at home or during a structured session.

Depending on your child's goals, sessions can also take place within the community.

This might involve practising skills through activities such as visiting a playground, going to the shops, attending a community activity or navigating other everyday environments.

Community-based sessions can support children to build confidence, independence and participation in real-life situations.
