How It Works

Getting started doesn't need to feel complicated

Reaching out for support can feel like a big step, especially when you're not quite sure what your child needs or where to begin,

At Early Intervention Collective, the process is kept simple, personal and centred around your child and family.

You don't need to have all the answers before getting in touch - that's what our first conversation is for.

1. Get in Touch

The first step is simply reaching out.

Complete the online enquiry form and tell me a little about your child, your family and what you're looking for support with.

You don't need to provide a long history or know exactly what service you need. A brief overview is more than enough to get the conversation started.

2. Let's Have a Chat

Once I've received your enquiry, I'll get in touch to have an initial conversation.

We'll talk about your child's strengths, what's currently feeling challenging, what's important to your family and what you'd love to see become easier.

This also gives you the opportunity to ask questions and decide whether Early Intervention Collective feels like the right fit for your family.

3. Getting to Know Your Child

If we decide to move forward, we'll complete the necessary intake paperwork and spend some time getting to know your child and family.

Rather than focusing only on what your child finds difficult, I want to understand the whole child - what they love, what they're great at, what motivates them, who is important to them and what their everyday life looks like.

Together, we'll identify meaningful goals and priorities for support.

4. Support Begins

Sessions are tailored to your child's individual goals and can look different from child to child.

Support may take place:

- At home

- At preschool, childcare or school

- Within the community

Sessions may involve working directly with your child, supporting you as their parent or carer, collaborating with educators, introducing practical strategies or a combination of these.

The aim is for skills and strategies to become part of everyday life - not something that only happens during a session.

5. Working Together

Early Intervention is a team effort.

As your child grows and things change, we'll continue to talk about what's working, what's not and what's important to your family.

Goals and strategies can change along the way, and that's completely okay.

Where appropriate and with your consent, I can also collaborate with the other people supporting your child to help create consistency across their different environments

Small steps can make a big difference

You don't need to wait until you know exactly what your child needs.

If something isn't feeling quite right, you're looking for some extra support, or you simply want to know whether EIC could be a good fit, you're welcome to reach out.
